Quintus of Smyrna

Quintus of Smyrna was a Greek poet whose Posthomerica (Fall of Troy) fills in the Troy cycle between the Iliad and Odyssey: the arrival and death of Penthesilea, Memnon, the death of Achilles, the Trojan Horse, and the sack of Troy. Written in deliberate imitation of Homeric style and attempting to complete what Homer had left untold, it is the most comprehensive surviving account of the Troy cycle's final phase.
