Bayard Veiller

Bayard Veiller was an American playwright and screenwriter whose thriller Within the Law (1912) was one of the longest-running Broadway hits of its decade and launched the careers of several actors. He wrote a number of other successful mystery plays and worked in early Hollywood as a screenwriter and producer. His contribution to the Broadway thriller genre was significant during the 1910s-1920s.
