Luis Coloma

Luis Coloma was a Spanish Jesuit priest and author whose novel Pequeñeces (1891) — a satirical portrait of Madrid aristocratic society — became one of the most controversial and widely read Spanish novels of its generation. He also wrote the story of Ratón Pérez (1894), created for the young King Alfonso XIII, which established the Spanish Tooth Mouse tradition that persists throughout the Spanish-speaking world.
