This volume likely includes The Rover (1677) — Behn's most celebrated play, following a group of English cavaliers in exile who pursue love and adventure in Naples with a company of women navigating the constraints of their society. The Rover was hugely popular in its own time and has been the most revived of Behn's plays in the twentieth century; its female protagonist Hellena is one of Restoration comedy's most appealing heroines.
